Come experience an in-depth introduction to and deepening of Eurythmy, an art of Movement and of Forms which sculpts the space around the moving human being.
We will explore foundational principles by diving into the sculptural and musical laws which govern our human bodies.
Classes in colour theory, functional morphology and organology will guide us through an observation of the artistic laws of our own instrument. From the straight line of the limbs to the sphere of the skull, from the direction and arch of a musical phrase to the architecture of the consonantal world, we will translate known experiences into lawful artistic gestures.
Workshop open to all, from beginners to professional eurythmists.

Unfolding Music into Movement
and Form

Specifically tailored to musicians, this course uses the movement art of Eurythmy to dive deep into the lawful artistic rendition of musical elements.
Tone Eurythmy, an art of movement and of forms which sculpts the space around the moving human being, is choreographed directly from the score. By tapping into the geometry of tones, the qualitative sculpting of melodic and harmonic intervals, the sound colour of the keys, the architectural principles of rest, barline and phrasing, and the dramatic expression of dynamics, Eurythmy offers musicians the possibility to experience separately and tangibly the elements they work with in music.
This work will be enhanced by lectures in Organology, during which the anatomical archetype of the Orchestra instruments will be explored, leading to a picture of the Orchestra as complete human being.
